Horribly Wonderful

I need to begin this post by first bearing testimony of prayer. I know it works and I know that Heavenly Father answers them. I am so grateful that our prayers were answered so quickly. I know they are answered according to the Lords will. I am so thankful that He saw fit to heal my little boy. I felt so much comfort from praying, and through others prayers for us. Thank you everyone!

I guess I will start the story from Monday. He hadn't gone to school the whole week before because he was sick. I let him go on Monday, but he came home and he was tired and ornery. I told him to take a nap. He layed down at 4:30 and slept until 7:30 the following morning. I decided he was probably still sick and I better keep him home. He slept a lot that day too and didn't care to play. Then the next day he got worse. He layed in my bed all day and slept a lot. I couldn't get him to look at books because he didn't want to lift his head. I thought he was milking being sick. I was a little worried, but he didn't have any other symptoms. Thursday things changed very suddenly. He woke and didn't want to eat, because he didn't want to move. He couldn't get his food to his mouth. His hands were not going where he wanted. I called the doctors and made an appointment. Ten minutes later we he was even talking weird. His tongue sounded thick. I thought he was goofing off because he was smiling about it. (He thought he sounded funny.) I told him I needed him to be serious. I called Micheal and told him I was going to the doctors now to see if they could get me in, or going to the ER if they couldn't. He met me there. Jesse, my brother-in-law also met us there and they gave Adam a blessing while we waited. We saw a PA, she grabbed a doctor. They did some tests. He fell when they tried to get him to walk and then stopped holding his head up. They hooked him up to an IV. They called Primary Children's. I didn't think Adam would be okay in an ambulance and Michael drove faster than an ambulance. We stopped at my house to grab a few things and get the other kids taken care of. I layed Adam on the couch. He was out. My family that was here, Shasta, Kristi, and my Dad all saw Adam and he was at his worse. They were not holding it together, Mike and I did not have that option. We made it to Primary Children's in just under three hours. Michael's family was waiting there for us and helped us check in. He was hooked back up to an IV which he absolutely hated and then back through more testing. He started to show improvement the next day and even more the next. They diagnosed him with post infection Acute-cerabella-ataxi. Which means that an infection got into his cerebellum. He basically acts like he is drunk and unable to move his body how he wants to, even to the point of severely drunk like when we were home and he was unconscious.

They released us after what seemed like weeks in the hospital when it was only three days. They saw he was improving and that he could eat and drink and keep it down. They told us the MRI proved what they had diagnosed him with. We excitedly packed our bags and called our family to let them know we would be coming home. Adam was so excited (that's when we took the pictures, with our phones so they aren't great.) Everything is going great. He is improving everyday and the doctors said they expect him to fully recover within 1-3 weeks. Which is great most kids take 1-6 months and not all fully recover. We have gotten a call from Primary Children's and they told us that the MRI showed that there is some abnormal spots on his brain and that we need to return after Adam is completely better and have another MRI. We are a little scared and still appreciate prayers for him.

I need to thank Shasta, Jesse and my dad who watch my other kids without a moments notice and without question. Moana, Gary, Daniel, my mom, Jeremy, and Heidi, who met us up there and did everything they could to make things as easy as possible on us. Thanks Kristi for the meals. Thank you to everyone who fasted, and those who offered help in any and all ways and for the phone calls and those who have gotten on their knees for us. It was horrible to see my baby so sick, and to feel so helpless. It was wonderful to feel so much love and to remember what my Heavenly Father has blessed me with.

Twilight

So Twilight opening night my sisters, mom and I all dressed up. We were the nerds that got just too into the movie. We had so much fun. Can you guess who Shasta, Veronica and I are dressed as? Kristi and my mom aren't in these pictures. I am still trying to get the whole group pictures. I did win the costume contest and recieved an awsome twilight t-shirt. Okay the t-shirt isn't that cool, but I did win it and as you all know everything better if it's won. Shasta was an awsome Rosalie, Veronica made a perfect Bella despite the fact that she didn't want to be Bella. Not pictured is Kristi, who was Alice and my mom was Esme, (and was upset about being the oldest vampire and the mother.) Samantha who was unable to make it and was being dragged against her will was going to were a shirt that said, "I'm Buffy." Oh and if you couldn't tell I was Victoria.

My Happy Anniversary

We had a supper fun anniversary in Moab. It was beautiful. We left for Moab Wed. morning and stayed until Friday night. We were able to hike a bit at Arches National Park. It was crazy not having my three kids with me for those three days. I sure did miss them, but loved the time away as well. My sweet mother-in-law came and stayed with our kids. (-thanks Moana!) The 1st picture is the Double Arch, 2nd Turret, 3rd Delicate Arch, and the last picture, and the only one where I don't look too nerdy is infront of the Three Gossips on the left and the Courthouse something I can't remember.

Little Babies

My kids are so ready to have another sibling. I think I could have triplets and we would be okay.... Maybe not.

Time for a change

I guess it's time to update my blog. We finally have the internet and I am loving it for the time being. I hope I don't get to the point where I am on it too much and my house shows it.

So some fun things that we have done since I last wrote, we had all three kids birthdays and parties, we also had Michael's birthday and a big party since it was the big 3-0. It was super fun we had dinner and a baseball game, but no pictures to go with it since I was running the shin-dig. Entertaining and feeding 30+ people took a lot of time and energy. (Thanks everyone that came.) It was a lot of fun for Mikey and me. We also had a reunion with my sibling, and with my mom's family on the beach in California. We went to the zoo then too. My sister-in-law flew home and we all got to hang out and play in grand old Parowan. It's been a fun summer. Here are some pictures to go along with what we did. If I had more time I would narrate each picture, but I've got a lot of catching up to do fast. Plus a picture is worth a thousand words right?

A great Easter

I still don't have time to write, but we had a very full very fun Easter. Kristi's baby was blessed and Justin's family came down. We went down to LaVerkin and played with Shannon's family and Gary and Moana came down too. We had a blast.
